DPA, the Digital Platform for Attorneys, sets the tone for a digital legal profession. Founded by the Belgian bars and run as an independent company since June 2024, we build and operate the secure platform that more than 19.000 lawyers use every day to work with the courts, the registers and each other.
DPA follows up the IT needs of the Orde van Vlaamse Balies and the Ordre des Barreaux francophones et germanophone, and of the more than 19.000 lawyers they represent.

Modern communication and data exchange between the justice system and the legal profession is a necessity, and the Digital Platform for Attorneys sits at the heart of it. Through the platform, lawyers get secure access to a growing range of online services, so they can request, send and process information faster, more safely and more efficiently. We want to offer IT services that demonstrably increase the added value of IT and deliver a lasting advantage to the lawyer, by coordinating the offer and by understanding and bundling the needs of the profession, in consultation with the community bars.

We strive for entirely electronic litigation: communications made through the DPA platform carry the same legal effect as acts performed at the registry.
Integrations with external parties bring services to the platform that support lawyers in their daily practice, from official registers to legal-tech partners in the marketplace.
DPA follows up the IT needs of the OVB and the OBFG, and builds services for the bar associations themselves.
For years the Digital Platform for Attorneys was managed day to day by the two community bars, the Orde van Vlaamse Balies and the Ordre des Barreaux francophones et germanophone. That partnership grew into a healthy and profitable de facto enterprise, Diplad CV, the IT company of the Flemish bars founded in 2014.
In 2018 the Digital Platform for Attorneys was launched. Nobody could foresee the countless possibilities of the online platform back then, yet it has since become an essential daily tool for most lawyers. The platform started with DPA-Deposit and RegSol and won over more and more lawyers with additional applications: BJB, JustRestart, Jbox and new applications for searches in the National Register and the Central Register of Attachment Notices. DPA-Deposit was thoroughly renewed and now also allows the filing of petitions, three registers of the Federation of Notaries were integrated, and Salduzweb received a complete makeover.
Because it was time to take the operational side to a higher level as well, the de facto enterprise was converted into a fully-fledged company, DPA, which the OBFG and the Walloon bars joined on 12 June 2024. Since then DPA has been an autonomous legal entity.
DPA was founded to provide ICT support to the bars, the bar associations and the lawyers of Belgium. The company is led by a board of directors composed on a parity basis, chaired by Saskia Van Uffelen, and made up of people with a legal background and entrepreneurs with experience in IT companies from both communities.
