DPA-Deposit

File conclusions, exhibits, petitions and letters with the registry of almost every Belgian court, in a single operation, straight from your office. One way, one click: the registry, opposing counsel and third parties all receive your filing at once. Built by the Belgian bars for lawyers, connected one-to-one with e-Deposit.

One click, every recipient

Send one filing to the registry, to opposing counsel and to third parties at the same time. One operation covers the whole case.

Sent as a lawyer

Log in with eID or itsme® as a registered lawyer. Every filing is unmistakably sent by a lawyer, with up-to-date court and lawyer addresses.

Not bound by office hours

File whenever it suits you, evenings and weekends included. Every delivery is confirmed by a detailed dispatch certificate.

Everything in one archive

All incoming and outgoing filings stay stored and searchable by date, roll number, reference or status, and can be downloaded at any time.

What is DPA-Deposit?

DPA-Deposit is the court-filing application of the DPA platform. It is a one-way channel: you send, the registry receives. It lets you handle every document in a case in a single operation:

  • upload documents directly from your digital office environment;
  • file conclusions and exhibits online with the registry of almost every Belgian court;
  • send petitions and letters to the registry;
  • forward the same documents to fellow lawyers or third parties at the same time.

Because the application runs on the DPA platform, you always work with the most recent address details of courts and lawyers. You can also give your staff a mandate to use the application on your behalf.

Traceable, confirmed, always at hand

Every document you send is traceable, and its receipt is confirmed by a detailed dispatch certificate. Inside DPA-Deposit you keep an overview of all your cases and of every incoming and outgoing filing. All sent and received documents are searchable by date, roll number, reference or status, and can be downloaded whenever you need them.

Built around your workflow

Designed for the way a law firm works

Clear screens and smart defaults take the friction out of filing, so you spend your time on the case, not on the paperwork.

Clear at a glance

Introductory acts stand out from other filings, and the (provisional) roll number is created automatically.

Start from an existing case

Launch a new filing straight from a case you already have: recipients, references and other details are pre-filled.

Incoming and outgoing, kept apart

Filings received from fellow lawyers and your own outgoing filings each have their place, and “Cases” shows every transaction in one view.

Made for multi-office lawyers

Working for several firms? Switch from one office to the other without logging in again.

Getting started

Up and running in three steps

1. Log in with eID or itsme®

Since June 2025 every DPA user logs in through CSAM with the Belgian eID or itsme®. Your national register (or BIS) number must be registered with your bar.

2. Create your first filing

Select the court, add recipients and upload your documents from your office environment. DPA-Deposit fills in the addresses.

3. Mandate your team

Give assistants a mandate so they can prepare and send filings on your behalf, while you keep the overview.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference with e-Deposit?

e-Deposit is the federal filing channel built for citizens and businesses; since the Council of State ruling of 12 December 2019 lawyers can use it too. DPA-Deposit is the lawyer’s gateway to that same channel, connected one-to-one with e-Deposit, but with what a law firm needs on top: one filing to the court, fellow lawyers and third parties at once, up-to-date court and lawyer addresses, a searchable archive of everything sent, delegation to assistants, integration with your practice-management software and support from the DPA Service Desk.

Which courts can I reach through DPA-Deposit?

Almost every Belgian court that accepts electronic filings through e-Deposit. DPA-Deposit is connected one-to-one with e-Deposit, so your filing lands in the registry’s own application.

Does a filing through DPA-Deposit have legal value?

Yes. Since the Council of State ruling of 12 December 2019, lawyers can file conclusions and exhibit bundles electronically. Every delivery is confirmed by a detailed dispatch certificate that proves what was sent, to whom and when.

Can my assistant file on my behalf?

Yes. Give your assistant a mandate in the DPA settings. Mandated staff log in with their own eID or itsme® and work under your responsibility.

Do I receive judgments through DPA-Deposit?

No. DPA-Deposit is a one-way filing channel from you to the registry. Judgments from the courts reach you through DPA-Jbox.

Should I use DPA-Deposit or DPA-Jbox?

Use DPA-Deposit for petitions, conclusions, exhibits and letters to a registry. Use DPA-Jbox to receive judgments from the courts; its only outgoing use is filing with the Council for Alien Law Litigation (RvV/CCE). Only documents sent through DPA-Deposit reach the registry’s filing application.

What does DPA-Deposit cost?

The rates for the DPA applications are published on our pricing page.
