DPA-Authentic Sources is the register application of the DPA platform. It gives lawyers direct, secure access to authentic government and notarial data sources that are reserved for professionals with a legitimate reason to consult them. Every source works in two steps: the search and the report. The finer and more precise your filters, the more accurate the result. Each transaction is logged, giving you a detailed overview for both billing and reporting, and reports can be downloaded and archived in the case file. You log in with eID or itsme® as a registered lawyer, and you can set up mandates so your staff can run searches on your behalf.
Searches in the National Register run through the DPA platform. The application is interactive and user-friendly, and gives a detailed overview of all transactions, for billing as well as reporting. Every search offers several filters; the more precise the filter, the better the result.
This central file of notices of attachment, delegation, transfer, collective debt settlement and protest is a digital database that centralises all such notices. It can only be consulted on the DPA platform. If your search on a legal entity or company yields results, detailed notices are generated and kept on the platform, and you can request a summary report to download to your desktop.
Since April 2024 the registers of the Federation of Notaries are integrated in DPA-Authentic Sources, with an immediate answer to your search. The Central Register of Wills (CRT), founded in 1977, holds more than 3.500.000 records and tells you who drew up a will, when and before which notary. The Central Register of Marriage Contracts (CRH) records notarial deeds and judgments relating to matrimonial property law. The Central Succession Register (CER), created in 2018, lets you retrieve the metadata of key deeds and certificates in the settlement of an estate. A legitimate reason linked to your capacity as a lawyer is required to consult these registers.
Every DPA user logs in through CSAM with the Belgian eID or itsme®. Your national register (or BIS) number must be registered with your bar.
